FLAHERTY BUILDERS OPENS
DECORATED LUXURY TOWNHOME MODEL AT TOWNHOMES OF ABBEY WOODS
FRANKFORT, IL, September 30, 2005 -- Flaherty Builders
announces the opening of a professionally decorated model at
the Townhomes of Abbey Woods in Frankfort, a community that
offers homebuyers the opportunity to own an exclusive home
in a maintenance-free environment. Townhomes of Abbey Woods
features a variety of ranch and two-story townhomes, some
with first-floor master bedroom suites, and a few with
walkout or English basements. The designs range in size from
2,200 to more than 2,800 square feet and are base priced
from $449,900 to $489,900 (prices subject to change).
Abbey Wood’s luxury townhomes were inspired by Flaherty
Builder’s successful estate-style single-family homes. All
elevations provide exciting curb appeal by featuring
dramatic rooflines, inspiring front entrances and attractive
offsets. Flaherty offers four unique designs that are built
in clusters of two or three homes and set along winding
roads and private cul de sacs. When completed, the community
will only contain 32 extremely well landscaped, high-end
townhomes.
Abbey Woods’ brick and cut stone clad homes come with many
standard features that most builders consider upgrades. For
example, full basements, wood-burning fireplaces, vaulted
ceilings (per plan), central air-conditioning,
furniture-quality oak or maple cabinets, ceramic tiled baths
(tub and floor), hardwood flooring, granite countertops,
whirlpool tubs are standard features in Flaherty’s townhome
community.
These homes exhibit a lot of design cue's typically found in
Flaherty’s luxury single-family homes. The builder
incorporates nine-foot ceilings on the first level for all
its floor plans and two-story ceilings are found in many
great rooms, foyers, dining rooms and family rooms as well.
For those looking for virtually stair-free living, a
two-story home is offered with a first-floor master bedroom
suite. Two sprawling, state of the art ranch plans are also
available. All homes typically include three bedrooms, 2 or
2 1/2 baths, spacious kitchens, breakfast areas, living
rooms, relaxing master-bedroom suites, basements and
attached two-car garages. All townhomes come with fully
landscaped and sprinklered exteriors, which will be
maintained by a homeowners association.
One of the townhome models open for touring is the
Glastonbury, a two-story, 2,800 square-foot home with a
luxurious, first-floor master bedroom suite and huge
expanses of hardwood flooring that run throughout the home.
This luxury three-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home includes a great
room with two-story ceiling, a masonry fireplace finished
with custom hardwood mantle that matches the room’s cherry
stained trimwork and beautiful windows stretching to the
ceiling that are artistically placed on either side of the
fireplace. To further enhance the feeling of luxury in the
home, nothing has been spared in the exquisite kitchen. Very
few townhomes or single-family homes are finished as well as
this kitchen. Rich cherry stained raised panel cabinetry
topped with granite counter tops and a complete set of
commercial style stainless steel appliances are to be found
here. A commercial range with oven by Wolf, another built in
oven, broiler and microwave are installed in another wall of
cabinets, a Sub-Zero refrigerator with matching wood panels
blend in with the other cabinets and a unique two-stage
dishwasher, complete this dream kitchen. Adjacent to the
kitchen is a dinette with built-in desk and a recessed
French door that provides access to the landscaped back
yard. For formal entertaining the home also includes a
formal dining room, which is enhanced architecturally by a
multi-step tray ceiling. For maximum convenience and privacy
the home also includes a first-floor master bedroom suite
that occupies the entire side of the house. Within is a very
spacious room that can accommodate some of the largest
bedroom furniture available, and still have room for
additional lounge chairs. A stunning cathedral ceiling and
two oversized closets finish this area but just beyond is a
luxury bath beyond belief. A relaxing whirlpool tub is set
at the far end; along another entire wall are two granite
topped vanities with a built-in dresser and curio cabinet
set between. These cherry stained cabinets look more like
fine furniture than traditional bathroom vanities. Of course
a separate shower, ceramic floor tile and large mirrors help
complete the package. Overnight guests and family members
can use the two upstairs bedrooms and full size bath. A
loft, outlined by wrought iron spindles and cherry stained
hand rails, is perfect for a game room, computer area or
peaceful library is also located on this level. This
extremely well equipped home is base priced at $489,900.
Abbey Woods townhomes are only minutes from downtown
Frankfort, Mokena or New Lenox and near transportation
arteries Interstates 80 & 57 and Route 45. Chicago commuters
will be pleased to know that a Metra train station is less
than 3 miles away.
