Flaherty Builders, a company responsible for crafting beautiful single-family homes and townhomes across the Chicagoland area was recently recognized by the local SouthWest Suburban Home Builders Association
(SSHBA) for its stunning Glastonbury model at the Townhomes of Abbey Woods in Frankfort. This month Flaherty Builders received the Home-of-the-Month award due to its attention to architecture, and quality of construction.
The award-winning Glastonbury model is a two-story, 2,800 square-foot townhome with a luxurious, first-floor master bedroom suite and huge expanses of hardwood flooring that run throughout the home. This luxury three-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home includes a great room with two-story ceiling, a masonry fireplace finished with custom hardwood mantle that matches the room’s cherry stained trim work and beautiful windows stretching to the ceiling that are artistically placed on either side of the fireplace. To further enhance the feeling of luxury in the home, nothing has been spared in the exquisite kitchen. Very few townhomes or single-family homes are finished as well as this kitchen. Rich cherry stained raised panel cabinetry topped with granite counter tops and a complete set of commercial style stainless steel appliances are to be found here. A commercial range with oven by Wolf, another built in oven, broiler and microwave are installed in another wall of cabinets, a Sub-Zero refrigerator with matching wood panels blend in with the other cabinets and a unique two-stage dishwasher, complete this dream kitchen.

Abbey Woods’ brick and cut stone clad homes come with many standard features that most builders consider upgrades. For example, full basements, wood-burning
fireplaces, vaulted ceilings (per plan), central air-conditioning, furniture-quality cabinets, ceramic tiled baths (tub and floor), hardwood flooring, granite countertops, and whirlpool tubs are standard features in Flaherty’s townhome community.
These homes exhibit a lot of design cue's typically found in Flaherty’s luxury single-family homes. The builder incorporates nine-foot ceilings on the first level for all its floor plans and two-story ceilings are found in many great rooms, foyers, dining rooms and family rooms as well. In addition to the two-story Glastonbury home, two sprawling, state of the art ranch plans are also available. All homes typically include three bedrooms, 2 or 2 1/2 baths, spacious kitchens, breakfast areas, living rooms, relaxing master-bedroom suites, basements and attached two-car garages. All townhomes come with fully landscaped and sprinklered exteriors, which will be maintained by a homeowners association. The designs range in size from 2,200 to more than 2,800 square feet and are base priced from $449,900 to $489,900 (prices subject to change).
