“We started our search for a new home by casually searching and reviewing websites of local communities, but it wasn’t until our attention was captured by the architecture of Flaherty’s decorated models in Frankfort that we started our search in earnest,” said Sue Simanaitis. “While driving by, we both were immediately attracted to their homes and decided to stop at the sales center.”

According to Sue, on that fateful day, they were smitten with the spaciousness and value of the Declan floor plan. After walking through many finished models in a half dozen communities under construction by other builders, the Simanaitis’ were still drawn back to the Declan model and Rachel Ridge in New Lenox.

After doing their homework, Dan and Sue were eager to start the construction of their new home. According to the happy homeowners, they were attracted to the Declan because it featured 9-foot first floor ceilings, a two-story entry foyer, a traditional floor plan and a long list of standard amenities like air conditioning, full basement, a custom oak stair case, and solid surface counter tops.

The 4,000 square-foot Declan model is an elegant two-story home that comes with a brick exterior and upgraded architectural style roof shingles. Priced beginning at $495,900, everyone will be impressed with the home's two-story foyer which leads to the 16' x 13' living room or an elegant dining room with a wide expanse of windows. According to Sue, the entire building process was enjoyable.

“Throughout the entire construction process Flaherty encouraged us to visit the jobsite while our home was being built,” she said. “During this time they were in constant communication with me and my husband by phone or e-mail.”

After living in their home for a few months, the Simanaitis family couldn’t be more pleased with their luxury home and they plan on staying there for the next 20 or 30 years.
